First day donation surpasses 2.4 million yuan to earthquake disaster area (photo)

The earthquake disaster in Wenchuan Sichuan province touches hearts of Sinotruk staff.  On May 14, Sinotruk held a donation ceremony concerning the people of Wenchuan disaster area and the staff expressed their love to the people in the disaster area by donating in succession.

Sinotruk leaders in Jinan Ma Chunji, Cai Dong, Wang Donghui, Wei Zhihai, Wang Guangxi and Liu Rongjie took the initiative for the donation.  The leaders on business trip also entrusted others to donate on behalf of them.  Persisting in their work, more than ten thousand employees of branch companies donated eagerly.  In the first day the donation from Sinotruk staff numbered more than 2.4 million yuan.

From January to April, Sinotruk had produced and sold 48,000 heavy trucks, increasing 47% compared with the last year.  In March and April, the volume of production and sales in each month respectively came to 15,000 units, creating the best achievement in history.  In May, while continuously maintaining rapid increasing, Sinotruk is strengthening on every thing of the capacity of National III Emission Standard products, making good preparations for the overall implementation of National III Emission Standard for heavy trucks in July.  Sinotruk Chongqing Fuel System Co., Ltd. undertakes the task of research and development of key components of the National III engine.  Wenchuan earthquake has taken certain influences to the company. The company has taken various corresponding measurements to organize production in calm to ensure the accomplishment of the task.  When the earthquake happened, in the area sales staff of sales department of Sinotruk and sales department of Commercial Truck Division dealt with the situation calmly to ensure the safety of the staff.  Now, the sales staff is still persisting in the forefront of selling and has taken part in the activities of anti-earthquake and rescuing in the disaster area.

The employees expressed, without the support from the whole society, Sinotruk could not have got rapid development; donation to the people in disaster areas was their obligatory social responsibility; at the same time of donation, they would make efforts to produce the best truck to support the people for anti-disaster and rescuing in disaster areas.
